A midfielder, a graduate of Maccabi Haifa's youth academy.
Born in Tayibe, Mahmoud is the grandson of Abdallah Jaber, one of the greatest players of Hapoel Tayibe, which played one season in the Premier League. He took his first steps in the youth department of Hapoel Kfar Saba. At the age of 12, he moved to Maccabi Haifa's academy in Kfar Galim, on the advice of a family relative who noticed his physical and professional abilities.
Jaber did not score many goals but was a cornerstone of the teams he played for. In the U-15 team (2013/14), he appeared in the cup final. In the U-17 team, he won the "double" with his teammates, securing the Northern District championship and the State Cup, in addition to scoring 5 goals. In the U-19 team, he scored 3 goals, and despite not scoring in the 2016/17 season, he was a key player in the youth team's 14th championship win. Additionally, he was in the lineup for the "Greens" in their historic appearance in the UEFA Youth League.
After finishing his service in the youth department, he was loaned to the senior team of Hapoel Nof HaGalil, with whom he was promoted to the Premier League. His high performance did not go unnoticed by his parent club, which brought him back to its ranks.
