Saief, 30 years old, returned to Israel after playing for Neftçi Baku from Azerbaijan. He is a Druze footballer, born in Panama City, Florida, USA, and his parents returned to Israel when he was four. After playing in the youth departments of Maccabi and Hapoel Haifa, Beitar Tubruk, and Bnei Sakhnin, he was promoted to the senior team of Sakhnin in 2011.
From there, he moved to Hapoel Haifa and during the season transferred to play for Ironi Kiryat Shmona. Despite this, he caught the attention of European talent scouts and found himself at the Belgian team Gent, with whom he won (in 2015) their first championship in history. Additionally, he won the Super Cup in the country.
After appearing with Gent in the Champions League, he was loaned to the prestigious Belgian team Anderlecht, and from there, he was loaned to the American team Cincinnati in the MLS. During the 2020 transfer window, he was loaned to the Polish team Lechia Gdańsk. The next stop was M.S. Ashdod, which was a stepping stone to Azerbaijan.
