A central defender and a product of Maccabi Haifa’s renowned youth academy.
Lisab comes from a unique background — his father is from a Bedouin family, and his mother is Jewish. His grandfather was a tracker officer who fought and was severely wounded during the Yom Kippur War.
He attended Leo Baeck Middle School in Haifa, and ahead of high school, transferred to Maccabi Haifa’s prestigious academy in Kfar Galim. During his time with the club’s youth teams, he won league championships with both the Under-16 and Under-19 squads, the latter coached by Messay Dego.
Though a defender, Issat also contributed offensively, scoring goals across all age groups: 3 with the U-19 team, 2 with U-17, 1 with U-16, 9 with U-15, and 2 with the U-13 team.
Upon completing his youth tenure, he was loaned to Hapoel Hadera of the Israeli Premier League, where he earned a regular spot in the starting lineup and scored three goals. Despite his efforts, the club was relegated to the National League.
